Adoption Fee: The Adopter agrees to pay an adoption fee. This fee is non-refundable and covers part of the expenses for the animal’s care, medical treatments, and rescue efforts.
Health: The Rescue makes no claims about the health or mental disposition of any animal adopted. The Adopter agrees to take the animal to a licensed veterinarian within 3 days of the adoption for a wellness checkup or if any health issue arises after being adopted that can potentially harm the dog or other pets at home. Becasuse the rescue doesn't know the full history of the animals, the rescue can't guarantee the animal or other animals at home will develop a serious illness.
Dog Training and Rehabilitation: Adopter will make the necessary efforts to help rehabilitate any unwanted behaviors by getting professional help from dog trainers and behavioralist.
Return Policy: If the Adopter can no longer care for the animal, the Adopter must notify the Rescue and return the animal to Lucky Family Dog. The Adopter may not surrender the animal to a shelter or another party without the consent of the Rescue.
Care and Maintenance: The Adopter agrees to provide the animal with adequate food, water, shelter, and medical care. The animal shall not be subject to abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
No Transfer of Ownership: The Adopter agrees not to sell, transfer, or give the animal to another person or entity without prior written consent from the Rescue.
Living Arrangements: The Adopter agrees that the animal will live as a companion animal in the Adopter’s home and will not be used for any illegal activities, such as fighting or breeding.
Microchip and Identification: The Adopter agrees to keep the animal’s microchip information if given updated with their current contact details.
Follow-Up: The Rescue reserves the right to conduct follow-up checks on the animal’s well-being after adoption. The Adopter agrees to cooperate with these checks.
Legal Responsibility: The Adopter assumes all legal and financial responsibility for the animal as of the date of adoption. Lucky Family Dog Rescue shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, or damage caused by the animal after the adoption is finalized.
